That's one way to use it. Using workload identity (https://cloud.google.com/kubernetes-engine/docs/how-to/workload-identity …), GKE workloads can authenticate with the services created via the config connector. You could also use it as a Kubernetes-native alternative to Deployment Manager (https://cloud.google.com/deployment-manager/ …)
