A take-away from #KubeCon
We've spent a lot of time explaining how k8s scales to 5k nodes & that scale brings complexity++. That doesn't mean that we're not interested in bigger. If you want bigger clusters, we ARE interested, if complexity can be managed.

Man, the number of people who actually understand what bigger means is so small. They're always surprised when I explain that even Google (generally) doesn't do bigger because of lots of good reasons.

Definitely. Blast radius and availability are major issues at higher scales -- don't put all your eggs in one basket. That said, I believe we have room for significant scale improvements without radical changes.
