PSA: Use #K8s pod resource requests to prevent too many pods from being scheduled on the same node, resource limits to ensure containers don't use unlimited amounts of resources, and LimitRange to apply minimum and maximum requests and limits to each pod within a namespace
There are some blog posts (e.g., https://kubernetes.io/blog/2016/08/security-best-practices-kubernetes-deployment/ …) which have led to a misunderstanding of ResourceQuota, which bounds aggregate usage by all pods within a namespace, as well as limits on numbers of objects.

We were just talking about introducing some automation around this. If a deployments request is less than X % of the limit to flag it. We have had a few Kubelets crash due to improper requests not representing reality. Would be a good admission controller.
