I can totally relate to this. I had to do the same with my counselling degree. I felt defeated at the time, so I concentrated on myself for a while and came back 10x stronger to finish the job off #yourmentalhealthcomesfirst

Quitting my degree saved me. I binned Nursing and I’m finishing my studies with other subjects
@OpenUniversity having transferred 240 credits. I’ve got better support, more flexible study and no more Registered Nurse lecturer who thinks it’s OK to tell people “be more resilient” -
And

I've also not forgotten your obstacle course in the library ,dressed as a dinosaur to celebrate at the end

1/2 I took a year out of my human biology degree, like you at first I was devastated and wasn’t sure it was right decision. It was hard seeing my friends graduating when I was behind.

2/2 fortunately I still had some friends at uni. I can honestly say although it wasn’t easy, taking a year out was the best decision for my mental health. This post is honest and well written. Thank you for this post :)
