Does his election chances no good to have a mild case (or at least acknowledge it’s mild). He’s getting close to needing a Hail Mary (sports reference version, not religious) to win [fair] election at this point. Don’t be surprised if he plays up the empathy angle.

Trump’s whole brand is strength and supposedly ”superior” genes. I doubt it would occur to him to fake illness in order to advance his election chances. It would only demoralize his base and raise concerns about his health at age 74.

Very good point. And most cases are mild or asymptomatic. This could be the opposite of what some are predicting: it could be a nightmare for people who want to see masks worn and distancing honored.
