A dr must agree we need to protect kids from experimental/irreversible medical treatments which they're too young to consent to.

there is a very strong ethical code of practice around competency. Only young people deemed competent can consent to anything.

the younger young people only have access to fully reversible treatment. Currently have to be >16 to have permanent.

no it's not happening here. I'm referring to the children in article you linked to, who have full assessment of capacity.
