As someone who stocks meat in a store in the west I gotta say that every single piece of meat we get is super old, it’s been refrigerated for like two weeks at least before being put out for sale with a five day use by date. I’d rather get to pick the animal to murder if eatin it

Especially because slaughterhouse work is one of the toughest most awful jobs in the USA and it’s mostly done by immigrants.

It's rich that they're terrified of a wet market but they think because their meat comes in pretty white packaging it's somehow removed from that. US food safety standards under Trump are terrible.
