    Workplace policies around appearance should not unfairly discriminate against . Remove such policies altogether, or if you must have it, explicitly note that appearance tied to ethnicity or religion are not restricted.

    From the archive 🗓️ 2014-12-24: I believe in meritocracy, but I know we're not there yet. That was 5 (!) years ago. For a company to be meritocratic, the demographics of senior leadership would not be maler or paler than the rest of the org.

    5 years goes by so quickly. Here's my first tweet from the twitter account. Over the years, I kept tweeting, and those tweets led to speaking engagements and writing two (!) books. I had no idea where this path would lead. But I'm so glad I got started on it.
