Highlights Hello Magazine (for ages 0-2) also has illustrations with masked people. OUTSIDE. I’ll see if I can find a picture later; I may have thrown it out.

They are mainly doing this, all media, because they don’t want backlash. Backlash from the people who are sold out on this. I think we need to normalize that this is not going to be a forever thing. I agree. Bummer

The illustration in question is actually quite lovely. Thanks to the audience observing proper safety precautions, this child's performance is able to go on despite the troubling times we're in. It's a reflection of the reality of life today, & how we can still find beauty in it.

Thank you for this. My 1yo really enjoys Hello, and is moving up to High Five. I'll have to start screening issues as well.
-
If you’re screening due to this probably best to cancel.

I await your argument on how specifically threatening to "cancel" a subscription over this is not part of the "cancel culture" you claim to decry
-
Because she's just exercising her personal choice, this is exactly what people mean when they say "just change the channel," etc. You're welcome to do this. Cancel culture would be if she started a campaign to get the illustrator fired or something.
