The refusal of teachers unions to re-open classrooms for children whose parents are unable to afford them with a private school or homeschool education is a civil rights catastrophe. Where the fuck is the outrage?

Parents: you need to start making alternative plans NOW. If your kids’ school is not open now, it will not reopen in the fall.

For the parents without the resources to make alternative plans, for their children, we cannot be silent. We cannot allow an entire generation of children to be left behind and isolated. They deserve better and our society is doing them a deep injustice.

This really bothers me. My child wanted to go to school with his mother, who is a public school teacher. We put him in private school this year, because a 5 year old in zoom school is dumb, with the promise that next year would be different. It probably won't be.
