I am very confused by people who seem to believe you must have Thanksgiving with people outside of your household in order to actually have thanksgiving.

My family always had a tradition of inviting people who had no one else to share our meal. We had widowers, soldiers, any number of Thanksgiving orphans. That spirit always made our meal more meaningful.
