Still no idea about why the dimming? I mean a nova should get brighter, and there is no proof of novas reducing brightness before exploding... Is it to crazy to think that maybe is turning into a black home and swallowing itself? I know is not that massive but...

1/2 This could just be regular red giant stuff. It could also be indicating a SN event, because weve never observed what happens right before one. It could also just be part of the later stages of the star's life, as it transitions to a new core fuel.
