Because there's nothing wrong with people making rep out of existing white characters and saying "leave it as it is" is saying "it's ok to just keep it at 90% of media being made for white people it's perfect that way"

It's really not that hard to understand, it's the same reason you don't make a gay character straight but you can headcanon a straight character gay. Like, it shouldn't be difficult

I am confused. What if a person is black in a bookseries and then in the movie adaptation they make them white? Or is that a a different issue?
