Time to update and inform you lovelies about the ongoing situation regarding my fundraiser. In the Before Times, my charges were not Oregon Measure 11 charges and I was released on OR. The *evening before* my arraignment, the DA changed my charges in order to reincarcerate me.

This left me with about 14 hours to get my life in order before going to jail indefinitely (as far as I knew) and then potentially being imprisoned for the mandatory minimum sentence of 5 years, ten months due to the M11 charge. I called my family and we set up the Gofundme.

This was a rushed and ill-informed process and then I was locked up while my family and allies managed my *whole life* for me. While in jail, I was additionally charged with a second Measure 11, among others. The original Gofundme goal amount was clearly insufficient already.

After I borrowed that unholy amount of bail, which I still have to repay, it was clear that a public defender would be inadequate for my case, but private representation was impossibly expensive. Think close to $100k as an estimate. It's expensive to prove innocence in America.

After we found a private attorney who would take my case at a flat rate, we added the difference to the GoFundMe and just like that, I had a lawyer. That is 100% owed to all of you. You are heroes to me. Unfortunately, there were a number of unforeseen consequences.

My primary source of income was my private business which deals with in-person clientele. Because of the death threats, it is not safe for me to see new clients, so business evaporated. Coupled with the new fee for my ankle monitor, ($255/month!) I find myself destitute.
