Yes, the numbers changed, but let's be honest, the numbers don't lie - the Germans killed nearly 6 Million people and most of them were Jews. HOW they died is irrelevant, be it in gas chambers or through forced labor. Murder is murder. But yeah, gas chambers were a thing.
**the numbers on the plaque changed.
How many Muslims did the allied forces kill? How many German civilians did they rape. How many Palestinians did those Jews kill and cleanse when they took another people's land?
You're falling back on the Fallacy of Relative Privation. Just because they allied armies or Israeli Jews also did bad things doesn't invalidate the things the Nazis did, not are they able to be easily compared. They need to be looked at and judged on their own, separate, merits

Yup. Bess seems to have a few issues with Nazis.
That's something Bess & I have in common
Me too. Love that scene at the end of The Blues Brothers with Henry Gibson as the Rockwellian Nazi falling from the sky. One of those memorable cathartic moments.
I love that movie too, but I don’t think that a story about real life Nazis living among us is the right moment to segue into a punch line about amusing fictional comedy Nazis, know what I mean?
Yep I personally loved Schindler's List & above all else Shoah
Interviewed a well-known Auschwitz survivor for TV. She and her sister had been subjects in Josef Mengele's twin studies. Turned out we shared an interest in pseudepigrapha so we talked about that. She later told me it was 1/ the few she enjoyed doing.
They found Mengeles remains pity he was dead. Many survivors would have loved to have seen that Nazi tried
Just cancelled my subscription. The since removed link to buy a swastika for $20 was horrific. Told them my father was imprisoned in a concentration camp for resisting Nazis in Norway and I will not be party to the @nytimes aiding & funding the Nazi movement here in America.
I don't think the @NYTimes is intending to convert people. It is trying to show you where the monsters are hiding. They are not under our beds or in our closet.
Did you watch Friday the 13th to the end? Who was the real monster in that movie? What's that say about motherhood?
Reasonable people can debate their level of intention. In the end, they changed their headline & removed the link to buy $20 swastikas. Complicity is not always intentional. I support many NYT journalists but I choose to not pay the parent company for the harm they caused.
Well I can't argue that part of it cuz I just noticed even tho Papa John's made a public apology and stuff I'm still apparently boycotting them cuz their CEO kinda creeps me out now. However, perhaps we're both being too judgmental? Besides I really like Papa John's pizza.
Definitely some high level creep stuff goin’ on. I think Papa John’s apology was lame and they’re only thinking about their profit margin. Trusting my instincts on this. I say rock on with the boycott! Plenty of yummy pizza out there
Trying to keep my kitchen stocked w/groceries for now to lessen the urge to just order pizza. It's cheaper anyway. I hate cooking though. Guess I could also research other restaurants that will deliver to my neighborhood.
