I’m not paying for this so I’ll pin this and here’s vaguely how you’ll know it’s me?

Today, like his mother before him, my son walked into his preschool class 10 minutes late, discretely eating a muffin from a nearby coffee shop.

Whenever Shonda Rhimes drops a new show, I think of the ABC executive who asked her "Don't you have enough?" when she asked for 1 extra pass at Disneyland, prompting her to end her relationship with the network and take all of her talent elsewhere. What a fumble.

This kind of misleading headline is why we’re striking. Jennifer Coolidge would have hosted SNL if the AMPTP didn’t threaten to replace its writers with AI.

Saturday Night Live fans, want to know what you are missing? Kieran Culkin and Jennifer Coolidge were set to host the final two episodes of the season before the writers strike forced an end to season 48 of the venerable NBC show deadline.com/2023/05/writer

Moved someone to the top of my casting list for a show I sold that will start up again when the strike ends because she came to the picket line in case actors are wondering if it’s in their best interest to show solidarity with writers who are often also EPs. 💝

He wasn’t even at the meeting this morning to tell us we won’t get paid after this week. please support your staff. Had fun bowling with ya last week, but a fun party won’t pay my rent

Last night a lot of A-list celebs were asked if they support the writers' strike. Jimmy Fallon said, "I wouldn't have a show if it wasn't for my writers, I support them all the way." Who else supports the strike? Thread.

the greed of studio CEOs is completely erasing the ability to be a creative who isn’t rich from the start. actors, writers, artists, animators, designers, wardrobe — everyone should be able to pursue an artistic career. Not just people with rich parents.

Anti-choice men: Every woman you know has either had an abortion, had a D&C for a miscarriage, taken mifepristone for a miscarriage, has been there for a loved one who accessed one of these reproductive healthcare choices, or is lying to you to protect herself and/or her friends!

A near-total ban on abortion failed in South Carolina, just hours before a six-week ban fizzled in Nebraska, signaling a mounting fear among some Republicans that abortion bans could lead to political backlash. wapo.st/3AAwpVz

Studios “can’t build, maintain or grow their streaming businesses without the content our writers create,” WGAW research director Laura Blum-Smith tells . “There’s no question...they can afford to pay writers appropriately for their value.” #WGAstrong

The looming WGA strike has already achieved something incredible: I turned in a significant amount of material on time.

I truly don’t know the use of this shit chasm of a website anymore but what I will say to anyone who sees this is: This year I started wearing loose, low-waisted pants and suddenly I enjoy walking, am more creatively productive, and can negotiate business deals.

I'm supporting the WGA strike because I am eternally grateful for my quite literally life-sustaining guild, and also I will take any opportunity to go full Grey Gardens and putter around the house in a billowy tunic talking spitefully and wistfully of yesteryear.

I actually applaud for completely overhauling the blue checkmark because it’s never been easier to quickly identify flamed out crypto bros or whiny right-wing pick-me tryhards. 💙

I closed a deal today that I pitched on a day without childcare with a baby with RSV and a toddler with an ear infection and there’s no bonus or fun lil back end points bump for that.

I was just tracking down a contract and I sent the following email 48 hours after a c-section: "Hi! I unexpectedly had a baby a month early, but should be able to hop on a zoom next week. When works for you?"
