Comparing the prevalence ONS infection survey and death certificates by age (2 week lag), you can derive a "measure-that-isn't-an-IFR-but-likely-proportional-to-it". You could use moving averages, but here I've fitted a simple state-space model - involves fewer arbitrary choices.

Being interdisplinary is odd sometimes. To mathematicians+computer scientists I am "the biologist/clinician". To molecular biologists and clinicians I am "the statistician". I am both excited about the science I span and also fearful of being accused of being a fraud everywhere.

Look I don't care how much your chart confirms my priors, I am not even "like"ing it unless it has a source and a title. Alt text describing the chart is also helpful for accessibility and gives you plenty of characters for full sourcing details. Use it.

Just a regular reminder that V24 is not a trustworthy source of information. The article they refer to literally says that these are going to a military exerice in Finland, not anywhere abroad. Finland hasn't made the decision about sending Leopards yet.
