  8. My parents never made much money, but we kept a roof over our heads because we lived in a rent-controlled apartment. Landlords cannot be allowed to raise rents to whatever they want, whenever they want. We need national rent control.

  14. There are 3,000+ counties in the United States. A minimum wage worker can afford to rent a one-bedroom home in just 28 of them. That is a national crisis. My plan will build the nearly 10 million new housing units our nation needs to guarantee housing as a right.
