Bernard, the larger minority of those who voted cannot be said to be the majority of the people. Have you looked at the law on strike ballots recently?

-
Bernard meant "my slightly larger minority from a questionable and corrupted ballot is everyone who is important." That is a great way to divide the country.
-
Of course MPs have a vested interest in regarding the largest single group as a majority.
-
And there it is. Rather than working for the good of the country, they work to please their own power base at the expense of everyone else. The system stinks, really
-
And presently we are seeing what happens - party interest taking precedence.
-
That has been the story since Cameron decided to call the Referendum - a tiny minority of far right Imperial nostalgists and their Press backers holding the Tory party to ransom. It's so sad.

I have to ask who is most out of touch, Bernard. Sadly, it is you and your colleagues. The country is split for a generation

Thanks for the triple exclamation marks. Unfortunately they don’t make what you say any truer or more important. Meanwhile the larger minority is shrinking. Oh what a mess.

That's the way we do it in this country. If you don't like it, leave.

52% may be a majority, but it's not overwhelming. A bit like your questionable politics, Bernie.

Correction. The majority of those that voted. The majority of the British people did not vote Brexit.

You do like winding people up don’t you Bernard!! It’s because the HoL aren’t blinkered like you! You’re my MP but you don’t represent me! Is that democratic?

Furthermore, the people were explicitly told that it was their decision and that the government would enact what the people determined should be done (by way of answering the referendum question).

Maybe if we had taken the view that EU courts and treaties were advisory and not binding we might not be leaving?
