Also, EU is using NI border issue as a proxy for the trade negotiations which have not started. EU cannot abide the idea that UK leaving sets a precedent for invisible external frontiers elsewhere, though we cd all agree: Ireland case is completely exceptional.https://twitter.com/sirsocks/status/938346608978259968 …

I don't think Brussels have the faintest idea how dangerous it is to blunder into the politics of Northern Ireland in the name of EU solidarity. To give Dublin an effective veto rings alarm bells all over the North.

Let's not get off track here, today we learn that the Brexit team didn't do any homework, did no impact studies, don't have a plan A or B & have lied throughout whenever they suggested otherwise. Any defence or are you going to carry on ignoring me because, you have no defence?

Classic attempt to blame the EU for a problem created by Leavers. At one point you were endlessly on the radio telling the public would be easy-peasy. I never once heard you talk bout the Irish border.

Unless I am mistaken, Bernard, you are in favour of the UK leaving the EU, and also the Single Market and Customs Union. Where does that leave the border question? I am sure you have a clear and well thought out view.

Bernard do you have any idea what the people of Northern Ireland went through during the troubled .Well 8 miles from me when there was a hard border 8 people died in this attack on the British customs post at Kileen near Dundalk and Newry.I don't care if Britain leaves the EUpic.twitter.com/6RUr4POEN3

Indeed I wish your country would get out of my country all together .But it's not as easy as that.A soft Brexit will at least keep the peace .If the Brits put their own customs posts back on the border this will restart the troubles and every BRITISH CUSTOMS POST WILL B BLOWN UP

Newsflash genius: EU has a trade deal with Canada and is close with Japan. Your question at #PMQS about #Brexit trade opportunities was ridiculous. Embarrassed for your constituents.

My goodness, the level of Brexiter victimhood and whining knows no bounds. It would have been MORE surprising if the EU had NOT shown solidarity with Ireland. The EU is a union, and solidarity is a key value. Something the Tory hard-right know nothing about.
