I hv no problem with negotiating re benefits or votes. But she shldn't be negotiating with residence or employment for those already here.

Her duty is to UK citizens aboard before EU citizens in the UK, but it's the EU which is putting a question mark over all of them.
-
Absolutely blatant lies. See here joint technical brief https://ec.europa.eu/commission/sites/beta-political/files/table_-_citizens_rights.pdf …

I don't let the EU superstate tell me what the job of my Prime Minister is, thanks. I'm British.
-
So glad you mentioned that. See here exactly same paper from
@DExEUgov https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/648148/September_-_Joint_technical_note_on_the_comparison_of_EU-UK_positions_on_citizens__rights.pdf …#Brexitlies#Brexit -
Thank you for this! Where there are red line disagreements the EU appear short on text. Provincially disastrous for uk citizens living in EU
-
Whether leave or remain, thank you for actually looking at sources. Full text is in negotiating papers. Brief is recap after each talks

It was Angela Merkel, last Nov, who rejected Theresa May’s, calls to informally assure the rights of EU migrants both sides of the Channel.
-
Instead of conceding the point to Europhiles, Tories need to demand they go to Brussels and fight for what they want from the EU.

She said she wanted them to stay. She point blank refused to say they wld be permitted to remain & to work in a no-deal scenario.

Anyway, how could PM give guarantee about rights of UK migrants in EU27? Question should be directed at the Commission.
-
Because they're in the UK!!!! On UK territory, working in UK society under UK rule...my goodness
-
What part of UK migrants in the EU27 didn't you understand?
-
The mutuality part. That's the entire point. See here https://ec.europa.eu/commission/sites/beta-political/files/table_-_citizens_rights.pdf …
-
Fine, if we can get mutual agreement, TM asked for that some time ago and was turned down by EU27.
-
TM can make statements all she wants. If it not being negotiated on paper it doesn't matter. And you know why - ECJ Governance.
-
That's part of the negotiations and why, as I said, she cannot 'guarantee' those rights of UK citizens in EU27.
-
She could. Should she choose to guarantee those of EU27 in UK. EU would have a very tough time denying that. She's refusing governance.point
