Damn right, every young Northerner I’ve spoken to is a brexiteer, they’re just fed up of hearing about it now and wish the govt would get on with it.

Dear Bernard, We polled the people of
#Harpenden yesterday on Brexit. The results were clear: Brexit is a shambles. It will damage jobs and the NHS and the people of Harpenden want a vote on the deal. Have a lovely day. H4Epic.twitter.com/O633Dpj7dx

Look anywhere outside the M25 for that matter. Except Oxford and Cambridge of course.

Rock solid in Romford and Chingford.

Yes good idea, we are allegedly going to be the worst hit (surprise surprise) but the determination of the people here has not diminished one little bit. We believe in our country and in ourselves, shame the cabinet does not share that belief
-
You can be determined as you want but when the engines from Renault bound for Nissan get held up on the continent bringing JIT production to a halt & the lay-offs begin determination won’t feed the family
-
I live in the north east, and have family who work at Nissan. 47% of parts for vehicles are now made in the uk. Nissan like any sensible business started making plans 2 years ago. Stop talking bull. They are already putting in new production line
-
Engines aren’t, tyres aren’t alloy wheels aren’t. Of those 47% nearly 90% of the raw materials come from EU. To set up a crankshaft factory in the U.K. would cost approx £100 million.. Also under EU rules a vehicle must contain 55% parts made in EU for it to be sold there

#NorthernPowerhouse PR is designed to sell a luxury high speed train to the North. Said train is destroying ancient landscapes in core@Conservatives constituencies and desecrating Christian Graves! If Steel is so important....why is#hs2 sourcing 90% from China?#BlueMomentumpic.twitter.com/C4Wcrnpgit

Did the port workers also explain that most of the goods in the containers are trainers, widgets and cuddly toys, all easy to ship by container. Much of our trade which comes on trucks thru Dover is food, parts for cars, chemicals and medicines. Not much of that in containerspic.twitter.com/t2bJwXFwUp
-
Gosh Dover doesn't use container technology and presumably all important things are only imported in the south delivered in individual boxes. FFS what an utterly stupid pathetically despearate response.
-
Tell us then smart ass why don't our major manufacturers already ship in sealed containers if it's just as easy and cheap? What a pathetically stupid response.
-
Didums did you come up with that all by yourself or did your mummy help? Answer .... they do.
-
Didums, did your nanny come up with that? Most parts for our manufacturers arrive by truck, not by sealed container. Why? Because it's quicker! They have something called Just in time manufacturing. It's why they don't get many parts from China or India
-
Oh you are so sharp they you now make a completely diferent argument. Btw JIT is a supply concept not a form of manufacturing. Indeed there are many routes for import export which rather proves how idiotic your original post was.
-
Go back to counting sheep, your probably better at it than international trade. Btw my original post was about the ridiculous statement in the BS Central article that because we get stuff from China in containers we can get everything from Europe that way. Do pay attention
