‘No-deal will make M20 a lorry park’ - would only happen if the EU deliberately sets out to obstruct EU-UK trade. This obstructionism would benefit absolutely nobody except to protect the power of the EU bureaucrats. A reminder of why we voted Leave!https://digitaledition.telegraph.co.uk/editions/edition_U0KpC_2018-08-18/data/534043/index.html?share=1&WT.mc_id=tmgapp_inar_share&utm_source=tmgapp&utm_medium=inar&utm_content=share&utm_campaign=tmgapp_inar_share&Expires=1536966000&Signature=UHKi3RVTG19hAr14Le01nUSz461OYn15aB038yYHTxZmKDVR8iIi9p2C8znWfAXM0D7SxeZz69hgBC~1WDCP4KklRBlvEbi8mqDKAcd5Y94POnjc84mvOFBhyWktEviBiO7~YRXfWCL9nXYfRhj3LfrphbZvT109pzn~ApX1VMrPp~6HSJ5lE0DDOp7-vmwlmvjQYbGw5mXA5548RWMVBF4~plB9QERtJNUx2QP2eTK7X930IC78eOWT2rGnTOO4MFDtLQTRWHjmPiQYgRCeKTbwM4cEHDX2LvU26Sa3PWZUAN0eh9LupgcSaOIM7G35yiB9W-MpzWAlHZkoTsNpaQ__&Key-Pair-Id=APKAJLCEPDGCTPVKXNOA …

It was the Tory party which had ‘no deal is better than a bad deal’ in its manifesto over a year ago. And it’s the government which will get the big majority of blame for deliberately destroying the country not the EU. Despite the mendacious efforts of the brexiters #peoplesvotepic.twitter.com/QoPDTQVoaB

Stop this utter nonsense. The SM and CU are simply mechanisms for eliminating trading barriers. If you leave them, as a matter of logic YOU are deciding to create trading barriers. Those barriers would not exist if you were willing to follow the rules. YOU are responsible.

It could be argued that the CU and the SM operate a Cartel which is an athame to capitalism and free trade and inhibits growth

It could be argued but it would be wrong. Arguments for Brexit are sounding ever more desperate!

A Cartel by definition acts as a group with a common trading policy. Sovereign, independent Countries have the freedom to set their own Bank rates, tariffs, Laws, customs and other attributes that are not subject to a collective position and cannot be described as a Cartel.

We set our own bank rates and laws. We agree tariffs and customs rules with our European partners (just as we would with our partners in any post-Brexit FTA). You have only 15 followers. Do you work for Banski? I'm wondering where all the real leavers have gone to?

If we set our own Laws, Gina Miller would have lost her Court case and Parliament would still be operating under Royal Prerogative and Theresa May would not have agreed that the European Courts will have primacy after they hand back Magna Carta.

The only thing of interest about this latest drivel of yours is whether you are a fool who doesn’t understand how the EU works, or a liar who is deliberately misconstruing things to dupe gullible Leavers or three: a lying fool. My money’s on number 2: liar (way too charitable)

I do think Jenkin is genuinely a bit thick, partly out of the arrogance of being ideologically driven therefore an avoider of facts that disagree with his opinion. There is mendacity too, a common trait amongst Brexiters. And blame in order to avoid taking responsibility.
