as a photographer, especially a male photographer, there’s a code of ethics you have to abide by when photographing women/femmes/gender queer people. there’s no rule book but i have a few things i always stick to to avoid creeping people out or creating questionable dynamics.
Abandon self doubt:
1. Acknowledge it
2. Talk to other photographers about your doubts
3. Find inspiration and motivation in competition
4. Recognize your own success
5. Concentrate on your work, style and craft
6. Make the images only you can make
