If New Jersey really wants to get even with New York they should simply implement their own congestion pricing “spite plan.”

Today’s decision by @USDOT to allow New York’s congestion pricing plan to move forward is unfair and ill-advised. I support congestion pricing conceptually, but it must be fair to all sides. Placing an unjustified financial burden on hardworking New Jersey commuters is wrong.

Congestion pricing is fair to all sides, the people causing the congestion pay for it and the people who don’t cause it, don’t. any questions or can we move on to the next lesson

Feds Give MTA Final Blessing To Congestion Pricing “Congestion pricing is a generational opportunity to make it easier for people to get around in, and get to, the CBD by reducing traffic and funding improvements to the public transit system.” 📍 NYC

this is an aspect i dont think we talk about enough - right now there is one (1) one-bedroom for rent on my street (for $4200, of course), and 2 on the street next over. even fabulously wealthy people can't move here because *there's nowhere to move to*

Home ownership is now increasingly out of reach for many pushing potential home buyers back into a Greater Boston rental market that is extremely out of kilter with an unhealthy - 1% vacancy rate. We need to address our regions housing supply crisis NOW. boston.com/real-estate/re

Montreal installed 40 outdoor coworking spaces in neighborhoods across the City complete with free WiFi and charging. A great way to activate the streetscape while providing new community third spaces and drawing daytime activity back into commercial districts.

Big wins for the pro-housing movement in Brookline yesterday as 100% of endorsed Town Meeting incumbents won reelection and 24 new pro housing voices will join them ahead of critical MBTA Communities rezoning votes this fall.

We're very excited that there will be 24 new pro-housing voices at Town Meeting, along with the many B4E endorsed incumbents. Plenty of work ahead of us as we work toward MBTA Communities compliance in 2023, and more efforts to tackle housing affordability at all income levels.

Next week, I’m submitting a bill to the U.S. House that eliminates parking minimums across the country in transit rich zones. We are in a housing crisis and eliminating parking requirements lowers costs to build. It’s good housing, climate & transit policy. Stay tuned.

“Our streets are more than places to just get from A to B, these are our largest shared spaces. They are where we can come together to spend time with family & friends, meet new neighbors, enjoy a safe, fun environment for walking, biking, or recreation.”

“Half a century after the Stop de Kindermoord movement, we are witnessing another wave of civic activity sweeping across the globe but especially in Europe… The campaigners want systemic change, not awareness campaigns on road safety.”

We need new capital funding models for ground-up development Even if you didn't have to buy the land, the architectural, engineering and legal costs of a cheap 20-unit apartment job would be $250K+ before you get a loan That money is 100% at risk for the developer personally

One of the downsides of the real estate development business is the loss of pre-development, or pursuit costs. Developers pay for all the costs to bring a project to life prior to closing on a construction loan. These costs are "at risk" meaning they are sunk costs if the… Show more

So important to empower local real estate developers who build up local entrepreneurs and support local wealth building initiatives and jobs while providing great new amenities to the community. A great example in the work and his team are doing in Houston.
