        Empathy (genuine empathy) is based on shared experience among people. Computers claiming to have empathy are lying because they lack that experience. I find the idea of fake/simulated empathy to be morally repugnant

        I would not say it’s morally repugnant it has its place - for example in dealing mental health patients, dementia patients etc.. it can be used a supplement to help heal patients

        Data collection of human feelings and emotions in theory can be learned by AI machine, however we can’t predict every situation and AI won’t be able to always respond. We want AI as a solution to help us in areas of improving human interaction not replace it.
