      Yes, it was very deceptive to hide that the spying was done by an ally *in the headline* of the article. You've still got it, @joshuafoust.

      @emoprog @joshuafoust Sure, because that's how it was taken by eg @benwizner:https://twitter.com/benwizner/status/434769419953127424 …

      @jeremyduns @joshuafoust No, @benwizner correctly states that attorney-client comms compromised by NSA, not that NSA did the surveillance.

      @emoprog @joshuafoust @benwizner Both those are unsupported. Story says ASD, not NSA compromised it, and did so inadvertently.

      @jeremyduns @joshuafoust @benwizner no, AC privilege is compromised by both ASD and NSA via sharing of comms w/lax minimization procedures.

      @emoprog @joshuafoust @benwizner Stretching it twice there! 1 NSA didn't compromise the comms, ASD did. 2 No evidence ASD shared with NSA.

      @jeremyduns @joshuafoust @benwizner you seem stuck on idea that AC comms are only compromised by agency that does the spying. That's wrong.

      @emoprog @joshuafoust @benwizner Not hung up. Just is no evidence in the story NSA ever saw these communications - and some to the contrary.

      @jeremyduns @emoprog @joshuafoust Evidence to the contrary? Here's the document: http://www.nytimes.com/2014/02/16/us/document-describes-eavesdropping-on-american-law-firm.html?_r=0 … Seems clear that NSA signed off.

          @jeremyduns NSA's "minimization" procedures permit collection/retention of A/C comms (see 6 and accompanying dox): https://www.aclu.org/nsa-surveillance-procedures …
