Next week I’m taking a train from SF to Chicago. It takes 2 days and there’s no wifi and I am SO excited.

I’ve done that trip. It’s great! Embrace the dining car conversations with strangers. Drink plenty of water. Pack healthy snacks. Use the observation car as much as possible. And don’t expect to get all that much sleep (I averaged 6 hours).
Also, in particular make sure you’ve got a great view for Colorado before Denver.
