@Jussi7 both the food pyramid and processed food in general are relatively recent and significant changes to the human diet -
@monkbent I doubt the food pyramid calls for processed food, at least in Europe the suggestions have been based on big population studies. -
@Jussi7 it massively overweights grains and starches, at least the US one -
@monkbent I think that is common, but there are examples of high grain using populations that are very healthy. -
@Jussi7 mainly rice, right? -
@monkbent and pasta.

@monkbent It’s the evolution of food production that I find most concerning. -
@RobWensing that’s totally tied up into it -
@monkbent Yep. Well, at least the pendulum is swinging back the other way.

@monkbent my wife and I follow a basic diet: meat, vegetables, fruit with nothing processed. This tends to shock people when I mention it.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@monkbent I have always thought that in general, people don't include evolution in that equation. All that "natural is better" also.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
