@jordibruin sure, but they need to have downloaded it, and need to actually use one or the other, and usage moves in groups
@monkbent the alternative is that they need to add all their friends when they move messaging platforms as well, major effort right?
@jordibruin sure. It's reduced the barrier of entry for an implementation detail, but hasn't fundamentally changed network effects
@monkbent you’re right, the effort to let new friends contact you is still the same > “download this app to chat”, by far biggest hurdle.
