@monkbent@asymco@jackschofield@patrixmyth and one should distinguish between PAYG, "bring your own sim" contract & "buy handset" contract -
@charlesarthur@monkbent@jackschofield@patrixmyth The proportion of prepaid connections has fallen by over 13 pct. points over 10 years -
@asymco@charlesarthur@monkbent@jackschofield@patrixmyth I’d suggest a lot moved to sim-only 30 day rolling 'contracts', at least in EU. -
@charlesarthur Well, mostly based on operator marketing. I was in Telco for a long time and their marketing is a lagging indicator. -
@joeharris76 so sort of semi-contract. Though operators have been jacking up payg prices to force contract migration. -
@charlesarthur I did find this for evidence though: http://j.mp/JJTQjk > Refers to GfK sourced data from 2012. -
@charlesarthur Also 2010 data from Ofcom here: http://j.mp/JJUmhn > " one in five contracts now under £15 per month." - 2 more replies
