    One more thing: talking on the phone is a very American thing. Most people here in Asia use LINE or similar for all communication.

        @monkbent It use to be mostly phone calls in Asia some years back. I was surprised at how little mobile usage in the US back then.

        @monkbent don't generalize what happens in Japan and South Korea as Asia. Phone calls are extensively used in India.

        @monkbent I wonder if there are any good stats on this. I feel as if people working in offices talk on the phone in Asia and the US.
