Damn.The story I started- iPhone 5c demand China: http://unwiredview.com/2013/10/10/as- … took only a day to get on Yahoo News. Reuters,AP,WSJ- you are slow
@UVStaska pretty clear 5C is a play for subsidized marketshttp://stratechery.com/2013/the-550-iphone-5c-makes-perfect-sense/ …

@monkbent Well, maybe. We'll see, when Apple reports Q4. I'm not sure 5C will work even in uber subsidized U.S. -
@UVStaska but the 4 and 4S worked. >50% at Verizon. Why would the 5C do any worse?
-
@monkbent U.S - might work, I'm just not sure. And I'm not talking overall iPhone - 5S will work everywhere. Just doubting 5C -
@UVStaska right, which is fair. My point is we all had Apple's intentions wrong. In retrospect, it makes sense they segment in sub mkts 1st
-
@monkbent Well, even if 5C is a flop this year,I do have huge expectations for Apple in 2014:big iPhone, 5S +cheap 5C+iWatch- killer combo -
@UVStaska
@monkbent I think it will work well in Europe.

@monkbent @UVStaska What market isn't subsidized? -
@Chaka10_twit@monkbent @UVStaska good question, but I'm guessing the unsubsidized market comprises at least several billion people? -
@kirkburgess@monkbent @UVStaska If you're talking pre-paid, ok. But to me that's general mobile phone market (which now uses basic Android) -
@Chaka10_twit@kirkburgess @UVStaska broad overview of different market types here:http://stratechery.com/2013/the-550-iphone-5c-makes-perfect-sense/ …
