@monkbent …Tero Ojanpera personally told me the N73 was the best selling S60 3rd Edition device of all time, comfortably above 15 million. -
@__MarkW__ pearl was 15 mil too, though... -
@monkbent Sorry, no exact figure but wikipedia says 45 million for N70 + N72 + N73. N73 was by far the biggest seller of those 3. -
@monkbent http://www.businessweek.com/stories/2007-02-27/nokia-tops-in-2006-smartphone-salesbusinessweek-business-news-stock-market-and-financial-advice … Those Wikipedia figures are device lifetime - BB shipped 6M smartphones in 2006, Nokia 38M. -
@__MarkW__ cool. Added footnote. Ultimately moot point but I certainly appreciate it's meaningful. -
@monkbent …to disrupt some markets while obsoleting others. -
@__MarkW__ which is what the iPhone did -
@monkbent Right, BB got obsoleted, Nokia got disrupted then obsoleted. iPhone was beneath contempt for Nokia execs until about 3GS… - 2 more replies
