@sameer_singh17 @monkbent exactly, now it’s a slowing, maturing market & tactics should change. Continuing rising expectations impossible

@monkbent@JohnKirk@eric_perlberg Interesting piece. Apple's approach is certainly very similar to the iPad Mini and that's what worries me -
@sameer_singh17 Why would Apple’s approach with the Mini worry you? -
@BenBajarin iPad Mini mostly cannibalized 9.7" iPad, not much in incremental sales. My estimate from Dec '12 - http://www.tech-thoughts.net/2012/12/ipad-mini-sales-estimate-q4-supply-latent-demand-cannibalization.html … -
@sameer_singh17 Why is it bad if it cannibalizes the 9.7” ? -
@BenBajarin Lower revenue, lower margins with Mini. Defensive play meant they couldn't take sales away from competition. -
@sameer_singh17 I view the iPad as an offensive play. http://techpinions.com/the-role-of-the-ipad-for-apples-growth/23028 … -
@BenBajarin I think their pricing decisions for the coming product cycle will be key. I hold the view that Apple's pricing is margin based. -
@sameer_singh17 I agree with that. I’ve settled that it is Ok. If they licensed someone else’s OS then this would be an issue.
