Apple has the exact opposite problem of Microsoft. They constitutionally can't maximize profits, because they're committed to innovation.

@monkbent@reneritchie Frankly, most of what Apple does is about maximizing profits. Cook is an ops guy after all, not a vusionary. -

@fpgeek@monkbent@reneritchie In some cases they are. E.g. policy on 3rd party media/subscriptions. Bad for consumer, good for profits. -
