Just like there are high end users and mass market users, so there are high end devs and mass market devs.
@elkmovie I get the impression normal people don't pay to download apps. That immediately rules out a lot of iOS gems

@monkbent Remember though that Apple doesn't need everyone developing for them, just enough to have a few great apps in every category. -

@monkbent Quality beats quantity. Games unlikely to ever differentiate like they did on Mac/Win because of cross-plaform engines.
