It should be obvious that next year will have 6S and 6C (no 6). The 5C *is* the low-cost iPhone…in 2015.

@monkbent how about no more numbering: 2014: iPhone C - 4" iPhone S - 4" & 5" 2015: iPhone C - 4" & 5" iPhone S - 4" & 5" -
@kirkburgess I think only the S will be big. Main point of differentiation -
@monkbent interesting contention. What about those who still want A8, better camera, other 6 features - but prefer a smaller screen size? -
@kirkburgess wait till the following year and get the C (along with your XMac) -
@monkbent so all the S models will be big screen phones, and all the C models will be 4"? -
@kirkburgess who knows. I'm just spouting off on Twitter ;) -
@monkbent I look forward to the piece!

@monkbent You don’t think that next year’s lineup could be 5C (cheap), 5S (mid) & 5X (larger screen size)? -
.
@taestell I think a good chance the "Pro" version is large next year (and every year after) -
@monkbent Also, aren’t these version numbers getting messy? How long until it’s just iPhone C, iPhone S, iPhone X (or whatever)? -
@taestell not messy when you only look at one year at a time...
