@monkbent @libovness Wouldn't that defeat the whole purpose of background fetch? With updating screenshots you can now see new data when in.
Also a good idea MT @libovness: if an app has been put to background, the multitasking screenshot should be the app’s splash screen

@czechboy0@libovness true. I liked@arebee's grayscale idea for apps not in memory

@libovness I would like all true splashsscreens to die. Devs should stop exploiting the app-loading image for marketing.@monkbent -
@steven_odb@monkbent I’d rather live in a world where splash screens aren’t necessary, but I don’t share your contempt for marketing -
@libovness respectfully, splash screens don’t make the time spend waiting for the app to respond any better, how does that justify them? -
@steven_odb 1) Branding is important and 2) What the heck else would you put instead of a splash screen? -
@libovness 1) Of course, aware of that as an Apple user. Yet overuse breaks experience: 2) http://d.pr/dgP1@monkbent -
@steven_odb I hear you, but I think branding is much more important to most devs than a smooth “launch image” experience
