@jtemujinw most of SV has no idea what disruption actually means -
@monkbent regardless, never seen someone make that assertion with actual data of any kind. -
@jtemujinw got it. Rhetorical point intended, but I get where you're coming from

@monkbent Another sign of disruptive tech is that it’s *better* in some way not valued by the incumbent. Where is ChromeOS better? -
@mdelaporta simpler. faster, never bogs down, never crashes. Far superior window management *for web pages* -
@monkbent Fair enough, though I’d argue that those attributes make iOS and Android the main disruptors of PCs. -
@mdelaporta appliances in general are disrupting general purpose computers. Chromebooks are the former with keyboards.

@monkbent@BenBajarin Doesn't Thurrott look at everything with disdain, with the exception of M$ products? -
@mywickedtwin@BenBajarin He's pretty positive about iOS devices (you just have to ignore his obsession with price) -
@monkbent Fair enough. Clearly, he doesn't know about Apple's (now 20 year old) best-kept secret: Apple resale values :-) -
@mywickedtwin he makes his living on Microsoft. I don't begrudge him his enthusiasm ;)

@skip_rynearson@thurrott disagree. 1) The OS is Chrome; Chrome OS a part 2) Comp for a Chromebook is an iPad, not a PC. It's an appliance. -

@alanthonyc me too. Of course, some things really are crap. The trick is knowing which is which
