@monkbent @reneritchie @nerdtalker China Mobile has LTE, so the iPhone 5C will have LTE.
@reneritchie @nerdtalker better battery life?
Others make sense. Still, no LTE in much of world, and useful differentiator...

@tedtodorov@reneritchie@nerdtalker TD-LTE, and it's barely deployed -
@monkbent@reneritchie@nerdtalker China Mobile’s 3G is also incompatible. And I suspect China Mobile would insist on LTE for marketing rsns -
@tedtodorov@reneritchie@nerdtalker my point is both are incompatible. -
@monkbent@reneritchie@nerdtalker Apple can use the same Qualcomm chipset worldwidehttp://appleinsider.com/articles/13/02/22/new-qualcomm-lte-solution-could-be-used-in-true-global-iphone-with-support-for-china-mobile … - 1 more reply

@monkbent@reneritchie LTE battery life is *better* for the same workload. This has been proven over and over again. -
@nerdtalker@reneritchie interesting, and makes sense. So battery life is lower because it's just so much faster (ie heavier workload)? -
@monkbent@nerdtalker@reneritchie the tech is much newer, so much less optimisation. -
@BenedictEvans@monkbent@reneritchie Not quite - http://images.anandtech.com/graphs/graph6330/50475.png … that trend continues to be the case in actual testing (LTE > WCDMA)

@monkbent@reneritchie Releasing a device with the reach of the iPhone without LTE would be a negative for the wireless ecosystemThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
