@monkbent I'm enjoying reading your work. The Sears to Amazon comp is spot on, however Sears lost its edge far earlier to the suburban mall.

@monkbent I thought the dept stores should have gone with 'store within store' model. I'm not aware of any that did (but that's Gap/ON/BR) -
@nhillery1 interestingly, all the department stress here in Asia are store-within-a-store. They vastly outnumber malls.
