@monkbent Nice. Is the Pixel your primary work machine?
@treestman I write almost every blog post on it, but use a Mac for my day job. I definitely believe the future is single-purpose tools

@monkbent Multi-purpose was necessary when big and expensive. As they get smaller and cheaper, the lines blur depending on use case. -
.
@treestman the Pixel might be my favorite device of all though. Its biggest downside is my angst over giving in completely to Google. -
@monkbent I’ve avoided a $250 Chromebook for the same reason. Not sure it’s worth it. -
@treestman it's worth it because I think it's impossible to really understand Chrome and Google's long-term vision without using one

@monkbent Where does the iPad fit into this? Your graphs are in Paper. -
@treestman yep - I use the right tool for the job. I could draw on the Pixel, but then again, I could write on the iPad. Why torture myself? -
@monkbent Yes, but as Mac user a laptop could overlap uses. Getting a Chromebook to understand Google is not how the average consumer shops. -
@treestman end game for Google is Chrome. Chrome on Windows, Chrome on iPad, ChromeOS, it's all the same -
@monkbent Agreed. Android is serving a purpose (basically, stirring the pot), but Chrome is the focus.
