I’ve always wondered how much money google makes off of Wikipedia as it is consistently top3 in all my searches. All that volunteer labor for google to profit.

@nytimes clearly cites the study as being the source of the $4.7B number. The study is newsworthy. Google was asked for comment and did not. The study seems dubious but do you think the number is not in the realm of reality, considering that GOOG made $137B last year? -

This is normal reporting & unhelpful. Anecdotal & admittedly extreme incidents are routinely used to villify companies/ entrepreneurs in the name of social justice. Big rather than bad is the target.
