I think the point is that there is no single age for male attractiveness that can be displayed in such a graphic. I think in that case this isn’t a case of disregarding the female perspective it’s just a matter of keeping the graphic simple.

Why would they include it at all, especially on a graphic for a business audience? The other observations are essentially: What can I do at this age? Women are all of a sudden excluded in that particular 'observation' making the world a mans one in this illustration.

I do see your point. I just honk I’m looking at this from the perspective of the designer who had to research and collect enough of such peaks to fill the graphic. I think that’s the main motivation. BI is hardly a strictly business publication. It’s more like fun trivia :)
