Not if your in a conversation while utilizing graphical statistics to make your point.
Which is mostly what I do, but now I seem bolted to only be able to reply in private to that person once the conversation begins.
Have you tried putting a full stop in front? What happens?
no difference as ^ takes precedence, cant remove all from that bar and then add manually after a dot or such. This is intentional.

If I were less cynical I would say "i don't know" but as I am not, Id say it helps the 1% to restrict the flow of information & discussion.
