Sure. But I don't think he was saying: agreement = stupid sheepness. I don't know the context, but what I took from his comment was: not complete agreement = humanness/agency (not an NPC). But of course there is also going to be a LOT of overlap with the thinkers you agree with.

hmmmm.. I would be more inclined to see it as you describe, if the "NPC meme" wasn't a known alt-right dog whistle, an attack on anyone on the left brewed at 4chan. Those are not buzz words, those are words that hold very relevant meaning. Also, I'm not an American, don't care about your elections too much. This discussion goes beyond one politician, and is fairly international. I only blame alt right for what it actually does.

If I do I'm sure you will deny everything as nonsensical conspiracy or something. But if you think that some of the "liberal values" or "dislikes Pepe" is purely accidental, and/or doesn't have anything to do with how some of those people communicate... there is no help.

Considering it has no hidden meaning and it essentially calling out, to their face, their zombie-like hive behavior, it cant be described as a dog-whistle. It is an insult, for sure, but a warranted one. Good luck with those talking points.
