Take care of "it," not "them."To @GovAbbott the eyesore is the problem, not the fact that living in tents under a bridge is the best option for these unfortunate souls. So the governor forcibly relocates them to an even worse option, so they won't be as visible?https://twitter.com/GregAbbott_TX/status/1218957291451490306 …

I started following
@GovAbbott because he's a strong popular conservative governor, but based on his treatment of refugees and homeless people, I'm starting to think that@GovAbbott is, well, evil.1 reply 0 proslijeđenih tweetova 0 korisnika označava da im se sviđaPrikaži ovu nit -
Acknowledging the humanity of these people, and their plight, would be a start. Looking into / addressing the underlying causes of homelessness would be obvious next step. Then trying to meet any unmet needs, in a manner consistent w small government principles, would be next.

(Maybe he's working on these issues and I just haven't heard anything about it? And his messaging is terrible?)

With the way
@GovAbbott continually imposes his refugee restrictions and relocation of homeless people on local cities that don't want the "help," it appears that he's not a small government conservative after all.1 reply 0 proslijeđenih tweetova 0 korisnika označava da im se sviđaPrikaži ovu nit
I'm afraid the Republican party has largely abandoned both compassion and conservatism.
