    Kenneth Tynan and Dwight Macdonald are my two best pandemic friends, we have spent months together. I have a project but its a bit amorphous, lots of audio, but form still unclear... thank god I have my own podcast.

    MoMa screened a 24 film "Goldwyn productions" program in 1956. But this is when Macdonald was in London, working at Encounter. I think he got the idea for this Midcult definition somewhere else.

    In Masscult/Midcult Dwight Macdonald tries again & again to define "Midcult" This one is my fav: Midcult is the Museum of Modern Art’s film department paying tribute to Samuel Goldwyn because his movies are alleged to be (slightly) better than those of other Hollywood producers
