    I'd gladly leave ads on for sites that are not total jerks. But when the blockers block all by default I can't tell who the good guys are.

    When a website greets me with a modal asking for my email, I just leave. It's like slapping someone you've just met.

    Not a surprise: foisting unwanted crap at people just makes them quickly leave your site.

    G+ found their "download our app" interstitial caused 69% of users to abandon, rather than dl app or continue on site
